Programs Manager

Fallbrook Food Pantry (FFP) is a nonprofit organization primarily staffed by volunteers assisting low income individuals and families in need of food assistance.

Position Description:  Administer and supervise the programs of FFP to ensure that they are in line with stated goals and mission of the organization. Provide quality control as a working supervisor to a team of volunteers, reporting to the executive director working with a board of directors. Ensuring consistency of daily operations. Managing daily function and operation of FFP, to include client screening and intake, distribution and inventory management. Ensure facilities are properly maintained. Uphold agency stated best practices and guidelines.

Will involve direct client interaction. Skills to include fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred, computer skills, customer service skills. The programs manager will be a good steward of the donations given to FFP.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of ethics, true dedication to the cause, exhibiting excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate challenges and propose solutions.

Part-time position

Salary range:  Beginning at $16-$18 hourly depending on experience.


·         Valid driver’s license

·         Fluent in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)

·         Proficient in MS Office

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Highly organized

·         Quick learner

·         Associates degree or equivalent of 3 years experience working with a team of volunteers


Work Environment:

Position requires standing, walking, and sitting.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Indoor/outdoor environment with exposure to produce, dairy, nuts, and other potential allergens.
